Ingredients:
Coriander leaves 1 bunch
Besan / Gram flour 1 cup
Rice flour 1/4 cup
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Asafetida 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder 1 tsp
Coriander and cumin powder 1 tbsp
White sesame seeds 2 tbsp
Crushed ginger and green chilly 1 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Sugar 1/4 tsp
Oil for deep fry or shallow fry
Peanut powder
Method :-
In a mixing bowl take besan and rice flour. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, dhania jeera powder, garam masala powder, crushed green chilies, garlic paste, roasted peanut powder, sesame seeds. Add coriander leaves and combine all ingredients well.
Add little by little water and make thick batter just like soft dough. Spread this mixture into greased thali. Steam in steamer for 15-20 minutes on medium flame.
Then cut into pieces. Shallow fry or deep fry in hot oil until slightly golden and crisp from outside. Delicious kothimbir vadi is ready. Serve hot with green chutney.
